The Snowman – Live with Yorkshire Imps
Running time: 75 mins
Come along for a magical experience this Christmas – join the world-famous Yorkshire Imperial Band, as they bring Raymond Briggs’ beloved family classic The Snowman to life, with a special live soundtrack performance.
The Snowman is a beloved film based on the classic children's novel. First released in 1982, the film tells the enchanting story of a young boy who builds a snowman that comes to life and takes him on a magical journey to the North Pole.
One of the most iconic aspects of The Snowman is its soundtrack, composed by Howard Blake. The music is integral to the film's storytelling, with the hauntingly beautiful song ‘Walking in the Air’ being a standout piece – which will be performed along with the band by a live singer.
This family-friendly event on 5th December 2026 promises to be an unforgettable celebration of music and storytelling, perfect for all ages. Immerse yourself in the heartwarming tale, accompanied by the rich, resonant sounds of one of the UK’s finest brass bands.
